Dear LifeSpring Family,
I seldom, no, I never have gotten a perfect score on any tests that I have taken in my academic life. But this past Sunday was an exception. When Pastor Gabe finished his mini-series sermon on humility, I thanked him. But I also told him that I have perfectly gotten all the wrong answers to his questions on how to identify pride in my life.
As I meditated on Gabe’s devotion titled, Godly Humility to us this past Monday, it reminded me of 2 Peter 1:5-8. May I suggest that you ask, allow, and listen to Holy Spirit in prayer as you meditate on 2 Peter 1:5-8. Ask Holy Spirit what is one “Godly Humility” area of your life that He wants you to “make every effort”. Or if you are blessed like me, your spouse will also let you know : )
5 For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, 6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, 7and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. 8For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Blessings in increasing these godly humility qualities in your life. Holy Spirit can surely do it in your life.
