Faith is the assurance (confidence) of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen
Faith (belief) has the power to change your behaviour.
If you invite me over for dinner – please do – and I agree to come to your house on Saturday at 5pm – based on your confidence in my word, in my character, in my trustworthiness – , you will either believe that I will be at your house on Saturday at 5pm for dinner or you will not believe me and assume even though I said I would, I will not follow through.
But if you trust my word, if you have confidence that what I say I will do, if you believe me – your belief will influence your behaviour.
Because you expect me at your house for 5pm on Saturday for dinner, you will prepare for my arrival. Since I have said that we would have dinner, you will prepare food in advance, clean the house, marinate the meat, cut the veggies, etc.
Your actions based on your belief (that I will be there Saturday @ 5pm for dinner) is proof that you trust my words.
In other words – you had faith that what I said, I would do.
When God speaks – do we believe and trust that what He says, He will do? Do we begin to prepare for what He has said? If God has spoken to you about business – do you look at business opportunities? If God has spoken to you about leadership – do you sign up for leadership courses? If God has convicted you to share your testimony – have you started writing it?
Your behaviour is controlled by your expectations. Saying you believe does not mean you believe. Faith is acting because you believe it is coming

Lifespring family – God is calling us to grow in faith. That when God speaks – do not waver – trust that what He says, He will do.
What has God spoken that we need to prepare for? Make room in your life for the King to come in. Take a moment and simply ask God to show you where you need to prepare.
