Volunteer Appreciation

There are so many people to be thankful for at Lifespring. As a Kingdom Family, pretty much everyone serves in one way or another. Some will be part of a particular ministry, some will simply serve doing things in the background, with no recognition and no assignment. No matter which way you serve in this family – thank you so very much.

As we serve the Lord as a Kingdom Family, I am reminded that we must always remember that service to the Lord must never be a way of earning a good status with the King – service must always be an overflow of the love of God. It is a fine line, but an important distinction.

All throughout history, kings and kingdoms fight in devastating wars. The kings of each kingdom would amass the people to create armies and send them to fight for the sake of the kingdom. Many would perish and many would die for the king and the kingdom…

Yet, the King of the Kingdom of Heaven used a different approach. The King did not send the people to die protecting the king and kingdom. The King sent Himself to die for the people.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”

As we serve the King through Lifespring… please remember, that it was God who served us first. His great love for us spared us the eternity of death. Our service in our time, talent, and treasures to the King is not to gain medals or earn our place with Him – we serve because He loves us so much and loves ALWAYS demands a response.

God so loved the world that He GAVE… loves causes action.

Lifespring family – as we serve the Lord together, I pray that it will always be out of an overflow of the love of the Father.
