Hi LifeSpring Family,
As I was spending time with the Lord today and thinking about 2020. We all can agree that it has been challenging for all of us and very challenging for some of us. Dealing with the feelings of isolation. And trying to do a good job at work under pandemic circumstances can tire me out emotionally.
I thank God for today’s Bible Study Fellowship lesson on Noah and the flood. Noah and his family spent 1 year and 10 days in the ark. As we are approaching the 1-year mark of COVID-19 restrictions, I thank God that I am in the “ark” of our Lord Jesus Christ. Like Noah, I must be proactive and obedient to God.
The best way I found to be able to proactive and obedient is to be in God’s Word.
Psalm 199:23-24 (ESV)
23 Even though princes sit plotting against me, your servant will meditate on your statutes.24 Your testimonies are my delight; they are my counselors.
Prayer from The Songs of Jesus by Timothy Keller.
“Lord Jesus, you have been called Wonderful Counselor, and indeed you are! But it is within the pages of your Word that I have found your priceless advice and comfort. Open my eyes to understand the Scripture so I can receive more and more of your counsel. Amen.”
