Correct Thinking

York Region is now in lockdown. It seems that we are trending the wrong way in our fight with Covid-19. As I wake up this Monday morning to the positive news of the arrival of the vaccine. Our country leaders remind us that it is only the beginning of a long journey in what has been already too long of a “journey”. In fact, our leaders are saying that it will be around the fall of 2021 before we can expect to return to a new normal.

I must admit that the thought of another long “journey” of vaccination across the country is tiring on me. And not being able to travel to the mission field in South East Asia has been very hard on me.

As I was reviewing my memory verses, the Lord reminded me of the importance of correct thinkling in Philippians 4:8 – ESV.

8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

In Philippians 4:8, I am commanded to take my thinking/mind off from myself and my situation and onto our Lord Jesus Christ.
