We had an amazing privilege to hear from Gma Donna this past Sunday. As always, she brought so much depth that it will take time to unpack all that she brought to the Lifespring family.
One of the gems that jumped out to me was she recognized a spirit that is working against the saints worldwide. Similar to how Jesus was able to recognize spirits and deal with them directly, Donna’s travels and discernment have helped her recognize spirits that are ferociously attacking and working against the church today.
Donna called out a “python” spirit that is working to squeeze and choke the breath of God out of the saints. As she was sharing about this spirit, it caught my attention as the Lord reminded me of a Scripture:
I have come they may have life, and have it to the full.
– John 10:10
God created life that we may live it to the full. Yet, so often, it feels like we are just living to survive. With healthy lungs and full breaths, we are able to play sports, climb mountains, hold our breath under water, push ourselves – all because we are able to take deep breaths, fill our lungs, and live life to the full!
But when lungs are damaged/sick and unable to take deep breaths. Life seems severely limited. As a young boy, I had severe asthma, and breathing was a great challenge. Every time I wanted to run and play, I would end up coughing and choking. Whenever I wanted to join my friends, I simply had to sit and watch. Living life with a shortness of breath was not living a life to the full, it was simply living and trying to survive.
This is what I believe the python spirit is doing to saints all around the world. The people of God are created to live life to the full – a life full of the Holy Spirit, bringing heaven to earth wherever they go! Yet, the saints are relegated to a Sunday service and maybe a couple of good deeds throughout the week. The fullness of the breath of God in us is restricted and not free to see, dream, and explore the wonders and mysteries of the greatness of God.
Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

No more python spirit at Lifespring. No more restrictions on the fullness and deepness of God in our lives. Donna prayed and we agreed to bind the python spirit that is against the Lifespring family, so let us, by faith, recognize that its coils are no more. Breathe in the fullness of His Holy Spirit – begin to live life to the full.
As we continue in our year of fruitfulness – may we not limit God in our own lives and what He wants to do in us and through us. May we be a people who takes FULL breaths and sees and dreams the realities of the Kingdom of God here on earth. Let no python restrict the family of Lifespring, and may the breath of God be free to flow and have access to the deepest parts of who we are. Amen.
