Grandparents’ Month

Grandparents’ Month

Dear LifeSpring Family,

As we celebrate Grandparents’ Month, I am reminded of the wisdom in Psalm 92:12-15.

As someone in my sixties and a grandparent, I sometimes feel the urge to slow down. However, the Lord reminds me, and all grandparents, that we are called to continue walking in the righteousness of Jesus Christ. We must allow the fruit of the Holy Spirit to flow through us to our children, grandchildren, and everyone within our circle of influence, and intentionally plant ourselves in the “house of the Lord” so that we will always “flourish in the courts of our God.”

Let us remember that we can and will “still bear fruit in old age” and remain ever full of “sap and green.” Do not believe the lie that your best days are behind you. As grandparents, it is our vital role “to declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.” Amen!!!

The righteous flourish like the palm tree

and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

They are planted in the house of the Lord;

they flourish in the courts of our God.

They still bear fruit in old age;

they are ever full of sap and green,

to declare that the Lord is upright;

he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

– Psalm 92:12-15

Grace upon grace,

Jerry
