Meet the King

In life, there are many important moments where we Make Every Effort to prepare for. When we get married or go to a wedding we make sure we smell good, we do our hair, some of you paint your toenails – we prepare for moments that we value and that are important. Yet when we go to meet with God (in prayer) it is usually under 2 minutes and we simply give God a list of wishes we want.

We take for granted that we have access to the King of Kings, so we walk into His presence any way we want. We walk into prayer, we walk into Sunday Celebration and say God – Holy Spirit, bless me – I know I’m 20 minutes late, but here I am to be blessed… take a moment and think about that, we spend time preparing for life moments, but we rarely (if ever) prepare to meet with God. Something is off with that statement.

God is holy. God is worthy. God is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He is greater than any special moment, he is Yahweh.

A man once touched the Ark of the Lord and because God is so holy, the man died. Cain gave sacrifices that were leftovers and God rejected him because of this. Priests would wear bells  when entering the Holy of Holies because if they were not right before God, His holiness would have to kill them!

When we encounter the Holy Spirit presence of God – we stand amongst the creator of the universe. Never take it lightly. Take it seriously.

If you have a moment, re-watch yesterday’s message on Youtube/Facebook. Learn to prepare yourself to meet with God. Come before the King and let the King guide you all the days of your life.
