Dear Life-Spring Family,
As Gabe preached on why and how to persevere, let us continue to persevere by “thinking about these things” in Philippians 4:8.
8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely,
whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (ESV)
As we persevere in prayer for the following 3 requests:
- Alex Soon’s dad in hospital in Kalua Lumpur, Malaysia.
- My sister, Cathy, and brother-in-law, James in their great loss, the passing of their son, Jeremiah.
- And for baby Faith, Karyne, and Gabe.
We persevere thinking of what is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable. We persevere not like one without hope but one who is fixed on the excellencies of our Lord Jesus Christ. Upon the unconditional love of our heavenly Father. Not in a spirit of fear but of power of the Holy Spirit in love and self-control.
Most of all, the Triune God is worthy of all our praises in the midst of our persevering.
