Dear Brothers and Sisters from Life-Spring,
So much has changed in the past months and weeks. From Covid-19 to the death of George Floyd, these ongoing events have unsettled me. It seems that chaos is the order of the day. Although I rarely face racism on a regular basis, the death of George Floyd has caused me to search my heart. If not for my own benefit, then for the benefit of my children and grandchildren. To allow Holy Spirit to shine His light into my heart and illuminate as to whether I am part of the problem, solution, or both.
Youth research from YPulse discovered that older Gen Zers (19- to 25-year-olds) think “racism/discrimination” is the biggest problem for their generation, diverging from their Millennial counterparts (26- to 37-year-olds), who ranked COVID-19 as the biggest problem.
Prayer from AXIS:
Merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed by what we have done and what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart: We have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We repent of the evil that enslaves us, the evil we have done, and the evil done on our behalf. We are truly sorry, and we humbly repent.
