Purpose 2025: Fruitfulness (Lifespring Family – Part 1)

It is always difficult to try to make plans in advance. With a rapidly moving schedule and so many unknowns – how does one know which path to take. In trying to do so, the Lord brought me to Revelations 22. It describes “the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city”, the Lord asked me, “was the river made for the street, or was the street made for the river?”

This challenge caused me to reflect and realize that the street was made for the river – to always move to where God is moving and not try to force the river to flow where we ourselves want to build. With this conviction, in reflecting over the past year, we look to what and where God has truly blessed and we build towards it.

Internship

We continue to thank the Lord for young people who are considering ministry and simply wrestling to discern if there is a priesthood call in their lives. We have had 2 years of Abigail Soon as an intern and she has been an amazing blessing to the church family. Most importantly, we have seen her mature in her faith right before our eyes. Abigail Soon has now begun as a Part-Time Ministry Assistant as she pursues a business degree.

We are so blessed to have Andrea Soon to become our next intern. She has been faithfully serving the children’s ministry and in this upcoming internship, my prayer and hope is that she would grow in her intercession and worship ministry. She has an extremely sensitive spirit and one that needs to be nurtured. We thank the Lord that young people are still interested and love Jesus. There is an all-out war for the next generation – a generation that we must protect and invest in.

Mississauga Lifespring Christian Fellowship (MLCF)

One of the most impactful moments of my life was hearing a testimony of an elderly man (in his 90s) share with the pastor that although he has had a wealth of life experience – he received new revelation from the Lord and responded with, “so much more to learn”.

I sense that MLCF’s fruitfulness will be found in its humility. To be an example of what it means to walk with the Lord for many years, yet still be willing to be corrected and shaped by the Lord. The fruit of humility is one that we all desperately need (It was pride that corrupted Lucifer. It is humility that stands against pride).

I will ask MLCF to use their wisdom and life experiences to protect the church family with their prayers and to go above and beyond in genuinely caring for others – specifically the elderly. I believe as God guides them in this, God will show up in miraculous ways – revealing more and new things about Himself.

God is caring for the entire Lifespring family. From our littlest ones in Kingdom Kids, to our young adults in Wildfire, to the parent generation, and to our grandparent generation – God loves each and every generation in the Lifespring Family. Let us continue to build where God is – these are the places that matter.
