The Apostles’ Creed

The Apostles’ Creed

Dear LifeSpring Family,

Praying that all of you had a great Christmas and a time of thanksgiving, reflection and family gatherings around food. We hope that you were able to squeeze in some rest too.

Dorothy and I were invited to attend a Christmas Eve Service at Central United Church on Main Street Unionville. It was a great time to be with sisters and brothers in the Lord, celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. At the end of the service, we read The Apostles’ Creed together. His birth eventually gave us The Apostle Creed at His ultimate sacrifice on the cross.

The Apostles Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
      creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
      He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
      was crucified, died, and was buried;
      he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
      He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
      the holy catholic* church,
      the communion of saints,
      the forgiveness of sins,
      the resurrection of the body,
      and life everlasting. Amen.

*that is, the true Christian church of all times and all places

Take a moment to reflect on the Apostles’ Creed and how it will change how you live in 2024. Trust in the love of our Father, in the resurrection of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ and the life changing power of Holy Spirit to make the changes in 2024 and beyond. For there is always More Beyond in life with our Lord Jesus Christ!!

Grace upon grace,

Jerry
