Dear LifeSpring Family,
Recently, Pastor Alvin forwarded a video teaching series by Donna Jordan to me and several others. Donna Jordan is a “mother” in the YWAM Movement. She along with her husband are senior leaders in the YWAM organization.
There are 11 YouTube videos of Donna teaching on several topics. Her teaching on video number 4 is entitled, The Basic Right of Every Believer; Knowing and Hearing the voice of God. I was encouraged and challenged to hear her teaching and testimonies on how she lived out this truth in her life.
We are blessed by God in LifeSpring that hearing the voice of God is not weird or viewed to be strange. But in LifeSpring, we are always encouraged to approach our Abba Father and expect to hear His voice.
John 10:27
My sheep recognize my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. (Living Bible)
Donna encouraged me to follow and obey God more and more. As this builds my ability to better and better recognize His voice. She also encourage me to spend time both quantity and quality time with Abba Father. This is a sure way for me to increase my ability to better and better recognize the voice of God. Just as I recognize my earthly father’s and mother’s voices because of the huge amount of time I spent in their presence.
